Our Beliefs
Each church adopts specific beliefs regarding the practice of it’s faith & beliefs. Holly Springs Bible Fellowship is no exception. The following documents have been developed to help us stay on course in the ministry we believe God has called us to.
Our Doctrinal Statement sets forth the theological position of Holly Springs Bible Fellowship of Hornick, Iowa. This statement provides a basis for doctrinal agreement and unity. The Statement of Faith does not exhaust the extent of our faith. The Bible itself is the sole and final source of all we believe. We do believe, however, that our Statement of Faith accurately represents our understanding of the teaching of the Bible.
Our Philosophy of Ministry is simply a direction, not a destination. This document helps us decide how we believe the Lord is directing us to build His house in this community. It helps us keep the pressures of people, programs, and ministries in their proper balance, and it is the direction we believe God is currently leading us. This philosophy has been gathered from a number of different sources and has been developed with much prayer.
Our Core Values are basic values and principles which guide our decision making process. They help summarize key issues that are important to us.
There are other issues which have become vital contemporary ministry issues in our culture. We believe the Christian should provide Biblical answers to the world’s contemporary issues. From time to time, our pastor & board address how our Fellowship should respond to these issues. We refer to these issues as Position Statements. In the past this has included issues such as Bible versions, Divorce & Remarriage, etc. You may contact us if you have any questions regarding our position on these issues.
